Brooke Pessin-Whedbee (Room 22)
I have been teaching at Rosa Parks since 2009. Before coming to Berkeley, I worked in Oakland as a kindergarten and intervention teacher. I also lived in Mali, West Africa, working with women’s groups to educate communities about malaria. I received my masters degree in Education from the University of California at Berkeley in 2006. I am particularly interested in the integration of arts, play, and developmentally appropriate curriculum to support kindergarteners as growing readers, writers, and critical thinkers.
