Name: Becky Lum
Grade: 4rd/5th combo

I earned my BA at San Francisco State, my multiple subjects credential at New College of CA, and my mild/moderate special ed credential at San Francisco State. My RS certificate was through Marin SELPA.

I’ve taught since 1995, grades 1-5, but mostly 2nd-4th. I began in San Francisco Unified, then taught in a non-public San Francisco residential day-treatment for children ages 3-12. After that, I moved to Oakland Unified Schools and taught elementary general ed for 9 years before coming to Rosa Parks last year.

Other than teaching, I also enjoy reading, quilting, knitting, baking, and cooking. I’ve played the violin for almost 4 years and am in the Community Women’s Orchestra out of Oakland. We’ve performed in Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, and next summer, we’ll play in Miami. Come see us! I also play USTA leagues for much of the year on various tennis teams. I love to hike, camp, bike, and raft, especially in the deserts of the West. My husband, Chris, our rabbit, Thistle, and I live in Pinole.
