WHAT IS THE Rosa Parks Annual Fund?
Established in 2015, The Rosa Parks Annual Fund is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year and helps pay for vital programs not covered by Berkeley Public School funds.
HOW DOES THE Rosa Parks Annual Fund BENEFIT OUR KIDS?
Although we reside in a supportive school district, there is not enough funding to cover the cost of the education your child receives at Rosa Parks. Every year, we raise and directly spend the following year every dollar raised to help fill the gap.
The Rosa Parks Annual Fund helps pay for:
Science Lab Materials, Math Lab, Literacy Programs like the Reading Club and Intervention, Art, Play to Be (PE Enrichment), Tutoring, Field Trips, Scholarships, Mock Trial, Class Plays/Drama, Tech Challenges, After-school Programs, Enrichment & Scholarships, 5th Grade Graduation, School Events – Family Night, Coffee Mingles, Committees: African Descent Advisory Committee, LGBTQ Family Committee, etc., Green Team & Schoolyard, and more…
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU DONATE?
The PTA spends more than $350/child each school year. Donations in ANY amount are welcome and appreciated.
One useful guideline is ONE MORE MONTH of what you budgeted for pre-school, child care or summer camp for your child. Our goal is 100% participation!
