The Rosa Parks PTA organizes a read-a-thon every year, and it is a great opportunity for the community to support the students’ reading, and provide support for the school. During the 2016 read-a-thon, which runs from March 7th-18th, students will be asking relatives, friends, and neighbors to make a pledge to support their efforts to read as much as they can. After the reading ends on March 18th, students will report on how much they read to their sponsors and collect money from the sponsors.
Donations made through the read-a-thon are tax deductible, and can be made electronically (link below), by check payable to the Rosa Parks PTA (with “read-a-thon” in the subject line), or by giving cash to the students who will turn it in to the teachers.
