Bus Transportation

If you live more than a mile away from Rosa Parks, your child is eligible to ride the bus to and from school. For the 2018-2019 school year, parents are required to request bus transportation.

To check eligibility and to request bus transportation, please call 510-644-6182 or email transportationdept@berkeley.net.

For more information about riding the bus, please see the BUSD website.

Biking

The environmentally friendly way to go, biking gives you and your kids exercise on your commute to school. Numerous bicycle boulevards lead to Rosa Parks Elementary and there are bike racks on campus to store your bike. As bike theft is a common crime in Berkeley, locking up your bikes with a good lock is recommended.

Driving

Dropping off your child can be done on Allston Street. Please be careful of pedestrians and bicyclists and be sure not to park in the drop-off zone and especially not where the bus parks! Street parking is limited near the school. Please do not block residence's driveways and keep track of street sweeping days to avoid getting a ticket.
