We can always use your help and it is as valuable as monetary donations.
PTA Volunteer Positions Available
Auditor - Audit Rosa Parks' financial records to determine accuracy, present written reports to the PTA Board and Association for adoption, forward copies of adopted audits to the PTA Council.
Volunteer Coordinator - Oversee the recruitment of volunteers, coordinate and collaborate with the PTA president, other PTA Board members, principal, and teachers to assess and identify how parents and community members can become more engaged with the school. Read-a-thon Chair - Be in charge of Rosa Parks' third major fundraiser. Organize volunteers, send out emails, etc. For information, please email Ana Zamost, the PTA President.
Other volunteer positions include volunteering to help with Family Night, the Sunday Streets Booth, the Rosa Parks Annual Fund, the Hospitality Team, Carnival Committee, Staff Holiday Gift Organizers, the Auction, the Read-A-Thon, and the T-Shirt Team. Please email Ana if you are interested in helping with any of those events or positions.
Room Parents
Rosa Parks’ Room Parents support classroom teachers, build classroom community, and connect parents to school-wide involvement and volunteer opportunities. You can sign up to be your classroom's room parent at Back to School Night.
- Support your classroom teacher’s parent involvement needs
- Compile a class Contact List for your child’s classroom
- Coordinate class gifts for your child’s teacher (2-3 times per year)
- Forward email messages to the class list from the PTA
- Provide opportunities for and encourage parents to take leadership roles in various events and activities at Rosa Parks
